300 is a brilliant film, excellently produced and directed by Zack Snyder, the film starts with Dilios a Spartan soldier narrating the story of Leonidas the great Spartan king from his childhood too his death. A Persian messenger arrives at the gates of Sparta demanding the submission of Sparta to King Xerxes, Leonidas follows his plan anyway, setting out with only 300 soldiers, whom he calls his personal guards to avoid needing the council's permission. The 300 battle to the bitter end fighting off countless Persian attacks, finally the 300 become undone by sheer numbers, but by wounding the Persian king with Leonidas spear the Spartan army rises up with over 10,000 Spartans leading 30,000 Greeks
